The Rajasthani Association Tamilnadu (RAJAT) proudly hosted the prestigious Rajasthani–Tamil Seva Awards 2026, marking yet another milestone in its 58 year legacy of service, harmony, and social contribution. The ceremony was held in an atmosphere of dignity and warmth at Taj Connemara, Chennai, bringing together eminent personalities, community leaders, and distinguished guests. The awards ceremony was graciously presided over by Honble Shri Justice R. Mahadevan, Judge, Supreme Court of India, who attended the event as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, the Hon’ble Chief Guest congratulated all the awardees for their exemplary contributions to society and commended the Jury for its wisdom and discernment in selecting five truly deserving awardees from diverse fields of service. Justice R. Mahadevan observed that the very acceptance of the Rajasthani–Tamil Seva Award by such eminent individuals and institutions stands as a recognition of the credibility, values, and stature of the Rajasthani Association Tamilnadu. He further remarked that such initiatives strengthen social harmony and inspire meaningful service beyond boundaries of language, region, and community. Awardees – Rajasthani–Tamil Seva Awards 2026 The following five awardees were honoured for their outstanding and selfless contributions to society: 1. Dr. Sudha Seshayyan (Academic Leader, Physician & Cultural Polymath) 2. B. Sargurunathan (Chief Othuvar & Custodian of Saivite Musical Heritage) 3. Payir Trust (Pioneer in Holistic Rural Transformation) 4. K. R. Raja (Advocate, Reformer & Social Architect) 5. Public Health Centre, West Mambalam (An Enduring Legacy of Community-Driven Healthcare) Each awardee was felicitated with a cash prize of ?*2,00,000, along with a trophy and a citation*, in recognition of their enduring contribution to the welfare and progress of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Welcoming the august gathering, President Shri Narendra Srisrimal extended his warm greetings to all dignitaries, awardees, and guests. He conveyed his deep gratitude to the Honble Chief Guest for travelling all the way from New Delhi to grace the occasion, underscoring the significance of the awards and the values they represent. In his address, the President highlighted RAJATs long-standing commitment to recognising excellence in service that transcends linguistic and cultural boundaries. He congratulated all the awardees for their inspiring journeys and acknowledged CA Shri S. Gurumurthy, Jury Chair and Editor, Tughlaq Tamil Weekly, for leading the selection process with integrity, insight, and vision. President Shri Narendra Srisrimal placed on record his special appreciation for CA Anil Khicha, Convenor – Rajasthani–Tamil Seva Awards, for his tireless dedication, meticulous planning, and unwavering commitment in successfully executing the awards process. He noted that the smooth, transparent, and credible selection of awardees was a direct outcome of the Convenor’s leadership and the collective efforts of his committed team. The President also expressed his heartfelt thanks to the entire Award Committee for upholding the highest standards of fairness, responsibility, and excellence throughout the process. The Rajasthani–Tamil Seva Awards 2026 concluded on a high note of pride, inspiration, and renewed resolve, reinforcing RAJATs enduring mission of fostering unity, service, and social responsibility across communities. When service becomes a shared value and recognition becomes a shared honour, communities grow stronger and society moves forward with purpose.
